Former collegiate wrestler Scott Voss is a 42-year-old apathetic biology teacher in a failing high school. When cutbacks threaten to cancel the music program and lay off its teacher, Scott begins to raise money by moonlighting as a mixed martial arts fighter. Everyone thinks Scott is crazy - most of all the school nurse, Bella - but in his quest, Scott gains something he never expected as he becomes a sensation that rallies the entire school.
Comedy - Although rated PG and generally blood-free and family-friendly, this
comedy does revolve around the sport of mixed martial arts, and as
such there are a number of brutal, if generally bloodless, fight
scenes. Fans of star Kevin James should be pleased though
recognizable co-stars such as Salma Hayek generally have small parts.
PROFANITY: A few miscellaneous profanities. SEX/NUDITY: Fleeting partial rear nudity. VIOLENCE: Numerous mixed martial arts fights with minimal blood. DRUGS/ALCOHOL: Some alcohol. ACTION: Mixed martial arts fights. COMEDY: Banter and wisecracks, physical gags, some gross-out gags.
