When cutbacks threaten to cancel the music program and lay off its teacher, Scott begins to raise money by moonlighting as a mixed martial arts fighter. Movie Type (Genre) Heading
Comedy - Although rated PG and generally blood-free and family-friendly, this comedy does revolve around the sport of mixed martial arts, and as such there are a number of brutal, if generally bloodless, fight scenes. Fans of star Kevin James should be pleased though recognizable co-stars such as Salma Hayek generally have small parts.

Critic's Review Heading

Washington Post Full Review
Average By comparison, the generic "Boom" comes off as bland; it needed to land a knockout blow.

NY Post Full Review
Below Average 'Here Comes the Boom'' is low on raunch but even lower on laughs. It also looks like half the lighting crew failed to show up.
