Drama Mystery Action - This long and unusual film tells six different but linked stories that
span different genres: period drama, science fiction, thriller,
action, comedy--so those looking for one specific thing may be
disappointed as it serves up a lot more. All of its main cast,
including leads Tom Hanks and Halle Berry, play multiple roles,
crossing gender and race, across the storylines. Language, sexual
content, adult themes, and violence make the film inappropriate for
kids.
PROFANITY: 20 F-words; 5 S-words; 2 GD's; a few others. SEX/NUDITY: Sex with related nudity. VIOLENCE: Bloody beatings and killings. DRUGS/ALCOHOL: Fairly frequent alcohol and tobacco. ACTION: Chases, fights, shootouts, explosions. COMEDY: Comic lines and physical gags.

Based on a theater exit polling of 55 moviegoers:
TEENS:The three males loved it.
TWENTYSOMETHINGS:Two males loved it and one rated it average. One female loved it and one rated it average.
ADULTS:These are good reviews but not great. About half of both males and females loved "Cloud Atlas." About another third of the males indicated they enjoyed it very much with slightly fewer females giving this review. Quite a few females rated it "Good/Average," which is a bit disappointing but not bad. A fairly small percentage actually disliked it very much with a few hating it.
