Alfred and Alma spin a story rife with surprises, comic ironies and dark twists in the Hitchockian tradition. But at the heart of the film lies not only the obsessions and fears of two people but the distinctively tenacious love that drove Hitchcock's art behind the curtain.
Drama - This often darkly comic drama is not a biography of director Alfred
Hitchcock's entire life but actually only concentrated on the making
of one of his most famous films, Psycho, and his relationship
with his wife. Fans of leads Anthony Hopkins and Helen Mirren will
have plenty to savor here while other known faces such as Scarlett
Johansson and Jessica Biel turn up only in smaller roles. Adult
subject matter and some language and violence make the film
inappropriate for children.
