Notes:
Old school grandfather Artie, who is accustomed to calling the shots, meets his match when he and his eager-to-please wife Diane agree to babysit their three grandkids when their type-A helicopter parents go away for work. But when 21st century problems collide with Artie and Diane's old school methods of tough rules, lots of love and old-fashioned games, it's learning to bend - and not holding your ground - that binds a family together.

Comedy - This comedy is aimed at the entire family, and as such has nothing in
the way of profanity or sex though there is mild comic violence and
crude humor. While a kid film, adult fans of the three top billed
stars should also enjoy.

USA TodayFull Review Below Average Guidance has the requisite physical slapstick of family films, as body functions go awry and food finds every orifice but the mouth. None of this distinguishes it from, say, a Tyler Perry film.
Washington PostFull Review Very Poor "Parental Guidance" is not just dull. It's aggressively dull, as if the people who made it actually want to put you to sleep and then steal your wallet. (Check your pants before you leave the theater.) It's also badly overacted, syrupy, phony looking, implausibly scripted, formulaic and about 15 minutes too long.

The critics sure didn't care for this movie but most moviegoers did.
CHILDREN:All the kids loved "Parental Guidance."
TEENS:About half the males loved it with another quarter enjoying it very much. Unfortunately, the remaining quarter rated it "Poor." Nine of the eleven females loved "Parental Guidance."
TWENTYSOMETHINGS:One male loved it but the other three only rated it as an average movie. Six of the eight ladies loved it and the other two indicated they enjoyed it very much.
ADULTS:About half the males and females loved "Parental Guidance." Another large percentage rated it above average, indicating a movie they enjoyed very much. Only a very small percentage rated it as low as average and no one disliked it.
