Storyline Heading
In a broken city rife with injustice, ex-cop Billy Taggart seeks redemption and revenge after being double-crossed and then framed by its most powerful figure, the mayor. Billy's relentless pursuit of justice, matched only by his streetwise toughness, makes him an unstoppable force and the mayor's worst nightmare.

Movie Type (Genre) Heading
Drama - This is a dramatic thriller that should please stars of Mark Wahlberg and Russell Crowe. While there are some moments of action, the emphasis is on drama. Catherine Zeta-Jones has less screen time than her co-stars but has a juicy part. Violence, sex, and constant language make the film inappropriate for children.

Berardinelli, Internet Critic Full Review
Average Broken City? More appropriately, Broken Movie.

Roger Ebert Full Review
Good I can't tell you with a straight face "Broken City" is "any good," but I can make the case you'll have a good time even when the screenplay is breaking bad.

USA Today Full Review
Average Broken City is in serious need of repair.

NY Post Full Review
Average To put it as positively as possible, there's never a dull moment in this flick — and that's not something you can take for granted at this time of the year.
