As husband and wife Daniel and Lacey Barret witness an escalating series of disturbing events involving their family, their safe and peaceful home quickly unravels. Horror Thriller - While not heavy on graphic violence, this is a horror/science fiction thriller that is much too intense for children--especially as young children are shown in scary situations. Parents may also take note with some possibly objectionable drug and sexual material involving early-teenage characters. Fans of Keri Russell should enjoy.

Based on a theater exit polling of 48 moviegoers:
TEENS:Very mixed reviews from both the males and females. Half the males enjoyed "Dark Skies" very much, but the remaining half only rated it as average. The female reviews are extremely mixed. Nearly half loved it, but many rated it somewhat low to very low. Often, low reviews are due to someone, who isn't a fan of this type of movie, seeing the movie with someone who is a fan.
TWENTYSOMETHINGS:One male loved it and one didn't. One female loved it, one rated it above average and one rated it average.
ADULTS:Most of the males enjoyed "Dark Skies" very much, with a few loving it. The female reviews are much more mixed but actually only a small percentage rated it very low. Most either loved it or enjoyed it very much with quite a few rating it average.
