Native American warrior Tonto recounts the untold tales that transformed John Reid, a man of the law, into a legend of justice--a runaway train of epic surprises and humorous friction as the two unlikely heroes must learn to work together and fight against greed and corruption.
Adventure Western Action - This is an action-adventure revival of the classic western character.
With Johnny Depp in the role of Tonto, the character is less of a
sidekick than in previous versions, but Armie Hammer as the title
character is indeed the real lead. Although there is a fair bit of
action violence that may be too intense for kids and some minor
language, on the whole most
families will find this to be fairly safe viewing--though the film
does clock in at nearly two and a half hours.
OPINION OVERVIEW The following is the original "What's Worth
Watching" write-up for this movie.
Based on a theater exit polling of 192 moviegoers:
GREAT REVIEWS! Most enjoyed "The Lone Ranger" very much, with a high percentage indicating they loved it. All the age and gender groups were similar. A bit disappointing were the "Good/Average" reviews given by quite a few of the adult males and females. That's not a bad review but it is a little on the low side.
