Three best friends who find themselves where we've all been -- at that confusing "moment" in every dating relationship when you have to decide "So... where is this going?"
Comedy - This is a rare romantic comedy aimed at a young male audience rather
than women--though the presence of heartthrob Zac Efron gives the film
a lot of young female appeal. This is also very raunchy, with lots of
sex humor both verbal and physical, sometimes crude. The sexual
content plus nonstop language make the film strictly not for kids, so
parents of kid fans of Efron's High School Musical series
should be warned.
PROFANITY: Over 30 F-words; over 30 S-words; many others. SEX/NUDITY: Sex with unrelated nudity; constant sex talk. VIOLENCE: A punch; a man is hit by a car. DRUGS/ALCOHOL: Frequent alcohol. ACTION: None. COMEDY: Constant raunchy humor, both verbal and physical.
OPINION OVERVIEW The following is the original "What's Worth
Watching" write-up for this movie.
Based on a theater exit polling of 65 moviegoers:
TEENS: Eight of the ten males loved "That Awkward Moment." The other two rated it "average." The female reviews are very good but not quite great. It's very good that about half loved this movie and another quarter enjoyed it very much. Unfortunately, about a quarter only felt it was an "average" movie (enjoyable but nothing special or memorable). A few even disliked it.
TWENTYSOMETHINGS: Two males loved it and two rated it "average." Three ladies loved it, one rated it "above average" indicating she enjoyed it very much and two only felt it was an "average" movie.
ADULTS: As you can see, there weren't many adult reviews and this movie really isn't targeted at adults. Still, the few adult reviews we collected clearly show that this movie has a wider appeal than just to the twenty-something crowd. All six females loved it, as did four of the six males. Only one male rated it low (below average).
