Storyline Heading
Three college students on a road trip across the Southwest experience a detour: the tracking of a computer genius who has already hacked into MIT and exposed security faults. The trio find themselves drawn to an eerily isolated area. Suddenly everything goes dark. When one of the students, Nic, regains consciousness, he is in a waking nightmare...

Movie Type (Genre) Heading
Sci-Fi Thriller - This is a lower budget science fiction thriller aimed at young adult audiences. Despite the lower budget, there is eventually a fair amount of action and special effects though the film may raise more questions than answers. The most known face in the cast, Laurence Fishburne, has a fairly small supporting role, with the three leads being lesser known younger actors. Language, violence, and disturbing images make the film too intense for kids.

Critic's Review Heading

USA Today Full Review
Above Average But Signal thinks big, takes chances and has enough arresting scenes to stand apart from the science fiction films of late.

Entertainment Weekly Full Review
Good But Eubank invests enough time and effort in Nic and Haley's relationship (and the movie's often gorgeous visuals) to make the journey pass pleasurably enough...

NY Post Full Review
Good 'The Signal' is strong in this brainy indie sci-fi thriller.
