When Lou finds himself in trouble, Nick and Jacob fire up the hot tub time machine in an attempt to get back to the past. But they inadvertently land in the future with Adam Jr. Now they have to alter the future in order to save the past...which is really the present, in the sequel from the same team that brought you the original cult hit.
Comedy Sci-Fi - Like the first film, this is a crude and silly science fiction comedy
aimed at young adult males, but fans of the original cult favorite
may be disappointed that original star John Cusack does not return
though all of his other main co-stars do. Constant language, drug
use, and crude sex gags make the film not for kids.

Roger EbertFull Review Below Average ...pretty much a total waste of time and energy. It looks cheap, the story is little more than a string of haphazardly constructed scenes with little to offer either narratively or comedically, the characters are far more irritating than endearing this time around,...a dumb movie that seems hell-bent on becoming dumber and cruder with each successive scene.
USA TodayFull Review Average Some of the gags are stupid-funny, others are just puerile, making for a hit-or-miss experience. The screenplay presents the thinnest of plots...For those who liked the first movie and find a plethora of penis jokes hilarious, this is a fitting sequel. But others should stay away.
NY PostFull Review Poor "Hot Tub Time Machine 2" isn't a time-travel movie so much as a time-murder movie, with a hairline-thin plot bulked up with fillers involving puke, penile damage and gay panic. My thoughts were less "Back to the Future" than "Back to the drawing board."
