Movie Type (Genre) Heading
Animated Adventure Fantasy - This is an animated adventure comedy aimed at the entire family. The strong female lead make this especially appealing to girls though everyone of all ages should enjoy. There is some very mild crude humor (hence the PG rating), but nearly all parents will find this all-ages appropriate humor. Fans of three main voice actors, Rihanna, Jim Parsons, and Steve Martin, are certain to enjoy though Jennifer Lopez fans may be disappointed by her small role.

Critic's Review Heading

Roger Ebert Full Review
Average It is too bad that "Home” isn't better since it does offer a much-needed break from one unfortunate tradition at DreamWorks.

USA Today Full Review
Average Home could have fashioned a more original story, dug deeper into a theme of cultural understanding and jettisoned the toilet humor.

NY Post Full Review
Average Like the timorous Boov, "Home” has little interest in risk-taking.

OPINION OVERVIEW
The following is the original "What's Worth Watching" write-up for this movie.

Moviegoer Opinions:

Based on a theater exit polling of 135 moviegoers:
CHILDREN: They all LOVED "HOME."
EVERYONE ELSE As you can see, all the other reviews are very similar. Approximately half loved "Home." Another 20%, or so, enjoyed it very much. All the remaining reviews indicate an "average" movie, which is good considering this is an animated kids movie.

I've seen better reviews, from older moviegoers, for animated movies, but they are rare. Since around 75% enjoyed it very much and no one disliked it, I would recommend "Home" as a great movie for the whole family.
