When established director of a Broadway production casts his call girl turned actress Izzy in a new play to star alongside his wife and her ex-lover a zany love tangle forms with hilarious twists.
Comedy - This is a silly, old-fashioned screwball sex farce featuring an
ensemble cast featuring many known names such as Owen Wilson and
Jennifer Aniston. The focal character, the "she" of the title,
however, is played by the
lesser known Imogen Poots. The R-rating is due largely to subject
matter and a few instances of language, not unlike a lot of Woody
Allen-type comedies, but the generally adult subject matter and
innuendo-laden humor make the film not for kids.
PROFANITY: 3 F-words; 11 S-words; 5 GD's; a few others. SEX/NUDITY: A scene of very passionate kissing; constant sex talk. VIOLENCE: Comic hits. DRUGS/ALCOHOL: Frequent alcohol. ACTION: None. COMEDY: Banter and wisecracks, often suggestive; silly slapstick and sight gags.
Roger EbertFull Review Above Average It's as if somewhere along the way this wannabe champagne got spiked with eager-to-please bennies. There are some good, funny bits... Given the narrow range of this movie's overall achievement, I imagine its preaching here will only reach the already converted.
NY PostFull Review Below Average There just isn't much snap in the dated script by Bogdanovich and his ex-wife Louise Stratten; it's fourth-rate Woody Allen at best. And Bogdanovich lets even some of the better lines land with a thud.
