Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshiped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel's X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible.
Action Fantasy Sci-Fi - This is another installment in the long-running comic book superhero
series. Fans of lead stars Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender,
and James McAvoy will have plenty to enjoy here, but Hugh Jackman's
role is basically an extended cameo. The first half is more
talk-heavy than most superhero movies. Language is minimal, and
while the violence is largely without blood, some intense moments are
of caution to parents of young kids.
PROFANITY: 1 F-word; 1 GD; a few others. SEX/NUDITY: None. VIOLENCE: Numerous fights with super powers and very minimal blood. DRUGS/ALCOHOL: Some alcohol and tobacco. ACTION: Chases, fights, explosions, destruction. COMEDY: Some comic lines and situations.
OPINION OVERVIEW The following is the original "What's Worth
Watching" write-up for this movie.
Based on a theater exit polling of 105 moviegoers:
Again, the professional critic reviews are all over the place. They range from "good" to "poor." What good does that do moviegoers? Who are you supposed to believe?
Luckily, our moviegoer reviews show that most everyone, male and female, LOVED "X-MEN: APOCALYPSE." Only a few of the males and females rated it as low as "average." I suspect that these could easily be people who aren't big fans of this type of movie but are seeing it with their significant other.
