One year after outwitting the FBI and winning the public's adulation with their Robin Hood-style magic spectacles, The Four Horsemen resurface for a comeback performance in hopes of exposing the unethical practices of a tech magnate. The man behind their vanishing act is none other than Walter Mabry, a tech prodigy who threatens the Horsemen into pulling off their most impossible heist yet. Their only hope is to perform one last unprecedented stunt to clear their names and reveal the mastermind behind it all.
Action Comedy Thriller - Like first film, this is a magic trick-driven adventure/thriller
with an all-star ensemble cast, with some stars such as Michael
Caine having smaller roles than others, like lead Jesse Eisenberg.
All of the original stars return except Isla Fisher, and Daniel
Radcliffe is added to the cast in a key supporting role. Woody
Harrelson fans will enjoy his dual role this time. Language
and violence will be of caution to parents of younger kids.
Roger EbertFull Review Average There's not much awe showcased here. The film is mainly horseplay, wasted motion, and talk, talk, talk, with a few good action scenes, ...
NY PostFull Review Average The best decision director Jon M. Chu ("Jem and the Holograms”) makes is adding Lizzy Caplan, whose character Lula (replacing Isla Fisher) is the highlight of this convoluted, implausible film.

OPINION OVERVIEW The following is the original "What's Worth
Watching" write-up for this movie.
Based on a theater exit polling of 125 moviegoers:
TEENS: Two-thirds of the males and nearly all the females loved "Now You See Me 2." About 20% of the males felt it was only an "average" movie.
TWENTYSOMETHINGS: Great reviews from both the males and females. Only about 10% of the females rated it as low as "average." All the males either loved it (most of them) or enjoyed it very much.
ADULTS: These are good, but not great, reviews from adults. It's clearly a movie enjoyed more by younger moviegoers. Forth-percent of the males loved it with another 20% indicating they enjoyed it very much. Unfortunately, the remaining 40% only rated it "average" (enjoyable but nothing special or memorable). The females rated it slightly higher. A full 70% either loved it or enjoyed it very much, with less than 30% rating it "average."
