Movie Type (Genre) Heading
Adventure Crime Mystery - This is a thriller aimed mostly at teens and young adults. Fans of leads Emma Roberts and Dave Franco will definitely enjoy. Some moderate language and violence, brief drug use, as well as some suggestive verbal references make the film inappropriate for younger children. Parents of teens should be warned that there are some dangerous stunts shown here that should not be duplicated.

Critic's Review Heading

Berardinelli, Internet Critic Full Review
Good For a late-summer throwaway, the film is surprisingly entertaining - in fact, it held my attention more strongly than many of the season's disappointing blockbusters. At only 96 minutes, Nerve is short enough not to overstay its welcome and, despite a lackluster final 20 minutes, it proves to be solidly entertaining.

Roger Ebert Full Review
Good ...the ridiculous ending is "Nerve”'s one true moment of absolute ballsiness. Add that to some fine performances...and the glossy sheen provided by cinematographer Michael Simmonds and you have a nice, pleasant little summertime diversion on your hands.

NY Post Full Review
Very Good The sharpest, wildest and most unpredictable thriller I've seen this year... Without sermonizing or stopping to take a breath, it explores the moral rot of craving fame and the complicity of an audience baying for ever-more extreme entertainment.
