After an unprecedented series of natural disasters threatened the planet, the world's leaders came together to create an intricate network of satellites to control the global climate and keep everyone safe. But now, something has gone wrong-the system built to protect the Earth is attacking it, and it’s a race against the clock to uncover the real threat before a worldwide geostorm wipes out everything...and everyone along with it.
Suspense Thriller - This is an effects-heavy disaster action film. Gerard Butler, Jim
Sturgess, and Abbie Cornish have most of the screen time while other
familiar faces such as Andy Garcia and Ed Harris have much smaller
roles. Language, violence, some suggestive humor, and some intense
disaster action sequences may be of caution to parents of young
children, but otherwise most parents will find this to be generally
acceptable to pre-teens and above.

Roger EbertFull Review Below Average ...the film is actually an utterly idiotic and oftentimes boring amalgamation of "The Day After Tomorrow,” "San Andreas,” "Gravity,” "The Manchurian Candidate” and the lesser Irwin Allen productions. "Geostorm” fails to work either as awe-inspiring spectacle or as campy silliness.

TWENTYSOMETHINGS: Three of the 6 males loved it, 2 more enjoyed it very much and one rated it "average." The ladies didn't enjoy it quite as much. Only one of the 6 loved it, with 3 indicating that they enjoyed it very much. The remaining 2 felt it was an "average" movie (enjoyable but nothing special or memorable).
ADULTS: These reviews are just shy of great. Sixty-percent loved "Geostorm," with another 20% to 25% rating it "above average, (which indicates a movie that they enjoyed very much). Unfortunately, 15% to 20% felt it was only an "average" movie (enjoyable but nothing special or memorable), which keeps it for a great rating.
