International art dealer Ron Hall must befriend a dangerous homeless man in order to save his struggling marriage to his wife, a woman whose dreams will lead all three of them on the journey of their lives.
Drama - Unlike most faith-centered films, this fact-based drama is not
oppressive in preaching, and it also features a cast of noteworthy
mainstream-known actors, such as Djimon Hounsou, Renee Zellweger,
Greg Kinnear, and Jon Voight. While overall the film is fairly
clean and safe viewing that parents of pre-teens and above would not
take issue with, there are some brief moments of race-based violence
and some racial slurs that could cause concern.

Roger EbertFull Review Average While there is a fascinating story within here of an unlikely connection between a married couple and Denver, "Same Kind of Different as Me” would rather make it specifically and obnoxiously about the selfless, magical white people and the human being who benefited from their kindness.
Rex ReedFull Review Average ...well-meaning, heartfelt, yet clumsily made and not entirely convincing tearjerker... It's so sincere and admirable that it seems churlish to voice objections, but the fact remains that it isn't very good.
