Brad and Dusty must deal with their intrusive fathers during the holidays.
Comedy - Like the first film, this is a fatherhood-themed comedy that is aimed
at families though there is some mildly crude and suggestive humor.
As with the first film, fans of leads Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg
will enjoy, this time joined by Mel Gibson and John Lithgow in meaty
comic roles, and the film has a holiday theme this time around. The
aforementioned crude and suggestive comic elements along with some
language will be of some caution to parents of very young children,
but most parents of pre-teens will likely find it to be generally
acceptable on the whole.

Roger EbertFull Review Above Average I found the sequel better than the original—the writing sharper, the jokes fresher and smarter, the comic interaction between the lead characters consistently engaging. One reason I wasn't crazy about "Daddy's Home” was the relentless onslaught of "edgy” jokes in bad taste. This picture tones that down.
Slant MagazineFull Review Below Average ...ultimately these actors are locked into a formulaic, over-plotted Hollywood comedy that favors outsized set pieces, like a runaway snow blower tearing through Christmas decorations, over subtle actorly moments.

OPINION OVERVIEW The following is the original "What's Worth
Watching" write-up for this movie.
Based on a theater exit polling of 85 moviegoers:
GREAT REVIEWS! All ages, both males and females, LOVED "DADDY'S HOME 2." Only a relatively small percentage of adults, both males and females, rated it as low as "Good/Average." It's unusual to see such a high percentage of "Fantastic" and "Excellent" reviews.
