Reeling from his mother's death and his father's abandonment, Zach, an All-State athlete, finds glory on the football field, working to earn a college scholarship and the brothers' ticket out of town.
When a devastating injury puts Zach-and his dreams-on the sidelines, David laces up his track cleats to salvage their future and point Zach toward hope.
Zach's knee injury has one silver lining: a chance to grow close to Ginger, a nurse at the hospital. Just as things get serious, Zach's doubts about God threaten to tear them apart and so he does what comes natural ... run.
Drama - While this Christian drama features some football and track action,
and former NFL player/current Major League Baseball player Tim Tebow
is one of the executive producers, sports is very much not at the
center, being more of a side concern while the film focuses far more
on family and faith. The familiar faces in the cast such as Frances
Fisher, Mykelti Williamson, and Mario Van Peebles only have small
supporting roles, with young unknowns in the leads. While there is
some alcohol drinking, including by teens, most families in the
target audience will find this safe viewing for their children.
PROFANITY: None. SEX/NUDITY: None. VIOLENCE: A punch and a couple of falls. DRUGS/ALCOHOL: Alcohol, including by teens. ACTION: Some football and track action. COMEDY: Sporadic comic lines and exchanges.
