Our Privacy Policy

It's simple, you are our most important asset and we will do everything possible to keep you happy!  The personal information we require, in order for you to subscribe, is the minimal information we need to help us tailor the site to your needs.  It's also extremely important to our advertisers (who pay the bills). If we know that you are a 35-year-old male, we can receive a MUCH higher advertising rate for the ads you see. Without this higher advertising rate, it's next to impossible to operate a profitable web site with the many features and extensive information we provide.

The personal information you provide us is maintained and accessible only by Cinema Review and will NEVER be willfully provided to other companies in a way that makes you individually identifiable.  In other words, we might tell potential advertisers that 33% of our subscribers are females between the ages of 18 and 44, but we would never provide them with specific information on any of those individual females. We would only disclose individual user information when we were required to, in order to comply with applicable laws or valid legal process or to protect the personal safety of our subscribers or the public (very unlikely to happen).

As you are probably aware, transmitting your personal information to us over the Internet is never 100% secure, no matter how hard we try. For this reason we can not guarantee the security of any information you transmit to us. You do so at your own risk. Once we receive your information we do our very best to keep that information totally secure and confidential.

We keep track of the pages that you view on the site and we track the movies that you place in your private lists.  This information is never provided to others. It's strictly used by us to improve the personalization of the site and is only accessible by the Cinema Review employee that is in charge of using that information.  The types of movies (action, comedy) that you have in your various private lists is used to help us know what types of movies you like and dislike. We will use that information to tailor the site more to your specific interests. It will also be used to sell advertising to the studios, so they can advertise an action movie to you, if we can see that you have seen a lot of action movies.

You can, at any time, delete your personal information from our database by contacting us . For security purposes we will delete all personal information except for your user name, password and email. We will not delete the private lists you have built. This way if the deletion was a mistake or you change your mind, you can easily subscribe again and it will be as if your account was never deleted . Accounts will only be saved for a limited time, approximately three months, depending on available site resources.

Cookies
When you visit CinemaReview.com you are given a "cookie," which is a small file that's placed on your computer. This file identifies you each time you visit so you do not have to type in your user name and password.  Also, we may contract with third party advertising companies, which may also give you a "cookie," so they can better serve you. "Cookies" are nothing to worry about. The vast majority of larger web sites now use "cookies."  You can set your browser to not accept "cookies," if you are concerned. Doing so will make many sites you visit, not function properly, or with greatly diminished abilities, which would be the case with Cinema Review.  You can also set your browser to notify you when a site is wanting to give you a "cookie."  Believe me, this can be very annoying since so many sites now use "cookies."

The terms of this Privacy Policy may change over time, as Cinema Review introduces new services and technology. Such changes will be posted on this page. We recommend that you review this Privacy Policy periodically to keep informed of changes.

If you have any further questions or concerns, contact CinemaReview.com.

Thank You
