About The Music
The upbeat soundtrack to "Kingdom Come" marks a musical landmark as the first motion picture soundtrack to have all the songs written and produced by a gospel/R&B artist. Kirk Franklin, one of the most commercially successful artists in the history of gospel music, proves his talent once again by compiling the biggest names in R&B, modem gospel, as well as some of hip-hop's hottest newcomers for the "Kingdom Come" soundtrack.
Highlights from the album include breathtaking performances by ten new Franklin gems who are some of the biggest names in modem gospel and urban R&D. This includes a rousing, riveting duet featuring Kirk with one of hip-hop's newcomers, Jill Scott, on the film's classic-in-the-making title song, and a compelling collaboration between red-hot hit-maker Carl Thomas, the stellar Natalie Wilson and SOP, as well as performances by Shawn Stockman, Deborah Cox, Trin-i-tee 5:7, Mary Mary, Crystal Lewis, One Nation Crew, Az Yet, and Tamar
Braxton. The "Kingdom Come" soundtrack is a searing collection of urban and gospel tracks from the hottest gospel and R&D artists in the industry.
Gospo Centric, the soundtack's label, has been Kirk Franklin's home since his 1993 debut, and one of the most consistently progressive labels in contemporary music. Since its inception, Gospo Centric has taken the music industry by storm with artists who express the unwavering faith and spirituality of the timeless gospel tradition in energetic, bridge-building, and culture-captivating music.
