Paula Jai Parker (Adina) is described by New York magazine's John Leonard as "exquisite." Paula's fast growing resume includes her feature film debut as Ice Cube's girlfriend "Joy" in last summer's sleeper hit "Friday." Shortly after, Paula was featured in "Tales From the Hood," and secured the Cable Ace Award for Best Actress for her portrayal of "Tang" in the HBO film "Cosmic Slop," as well as "Girl 6," and "Don't be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood."
In Spring '97 Parker will be featured in Showtime's "Riot," starring Melvin and Mario Van Peebles. On the small screen Parker was a regular cast member on "The Wayans Brothers," "Townsend Television," and "The Apollo Comedy Hour."
Parker earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Howard University in Washington, D.C. and is a native of Cleveland, Ohio.
