FOCUS R
Moviegoer Opinions:
Based on a theater exit polling of 67 moviegoers:
TEENS: Two males loved it and one felt it was just an "average" movie. Both the females loved "Focus."
TWENTYSOMETHINGS: Two males loved it and one felt it was just an "average" movie. Just over half the females loved "Focus," with the rest rating it "average" (enjoyable but nothing special or memorable).
ADULTS: The male and female reviews are very similar. Roughly 30% loved "Focus." Another 20% to 25% enjoyed it very much rating it "above average." That means about half really enjoyed "Focus," which is good but a bit low. The remaining half felt it was only an "average" movie, which is a little disappointing but certainly not bad. It indicates a movie they enjoyed but didn't love.

Cinema Review Prediction: (before opinions)
Reactions will be good for this film. Older adults may enjoy more than younger ones though reactions should be fairly level. Women may enjoy more than men.

Average critic rating:
Good (Berardinelli, Internet Critic)

MCFARLAND, USA PG
Moviegoer Opinions:
Based on a theater exit polling of 137 moviegoers:
WOW! I haven't seen reviews this high in a very long time. It's extremely rare to have so many reviews of "Fantastic" and "Excellent." Equally important is that no one disliked "McFarland." If you enjoy movies where the underdogs come out on top, you will love "McFarland."

Cinema Review Prediction: (before opinions)
Reactions will be very good across the board for this inspirational drama. Older adults will probably enjoy the most. Men and women will enjoy equally.

Average critic rating:
Good (Berardinelli, Internet Critic)
Very Good (Roger Ebert)
Good (USA Today)

JUPITER ASCENDING PG-13
Moviegoer Opinions:
Based on a theater exit polling of 103 moviegoers:
TEENS: Great Reviews from the females and Very Good reviews from the males. Half the males loved "Jupiter Ascending" with another 30% indicating they enjoyed it very much. Unfortunately, just over 20% felt it was only an "average" movie (enjoyable but nothing special or memorable).
TWENTYSOMETHINGS: One male loved it, one enjoyed it very much and one indicated that he hated it. Three females loved it and another three rated it "average." The seventh female hated it.
ADULTS: The male and female reviews are very similar. They show that about half loved "Jupiter Ascending." Another 20% rated it "above average." Unfortunately, 20% to 30% felt it was only an "average" movie, which isn't a bad review, it's just a bit disappointing. A small percentage actually indicated that they hated this movie. I suspect these moviegoers don't like this type of movie but came to it with someone who does like this type of movie.

Cinema Review Prediction: (before opinions)
Reactions will be wildly mixed for this strange science fiction film, with them likely averaging out to negative to middling reactions. Teens to young adults will probably like best. Females will enjoy more than males.

Average critic rating:

Below Average (USA Today)
Above Average (Entertainment Weekly)
